I still remember my school days very well. November 14 was always special, not just because it was children's day but because it was a holiday. Yes, we had to go to school but we were back home soon after some exciting time in school, unlike the usual working days. As a child I always felt special only on this day.
I can never forget the fun I had in school; I'm sure nobody will. Every morning began with a hurry to get to school on time; well dressed yet half asleep. Classes began with only one hope that the teacher forget to ask for the homework given the previous day. The teacher's punishments, the fights in the canteen, the packed football ground during recess, the mischief in class and so much more that I am missing today. Oh how I miss those days!
Wish I could go back in time and relive those memories. Nevertheless, I know the child in me is never going to die. I still do all the crazy things that even my 11-year old sister will find kiddish. But that's the fun of life. The hidden child in you brings fun and excitement to you life. Make mistakes, rectify them, play pranks, get wet in the rain, sing songs aloud even if you a horrible at it, tease you friends and get teased back, joke about someone and also be a joker to others. Its all part of a life that you are meant to live and enjoy.
So if anyone calls you a kido (which many do call me), feel proud to be one.
Happy Children's Day to all. May the child in you live forever to share joy and happiness to the world.
Bring out the Child in You
